This book may seem silly, but it's important to me and here's why:

Some of you may ask yourself: “How does an author go from writing romances about billionaires to utensils? I could try to come up with a funny response to the question, but I think the truth is more valuable to share. 

I’m the youngest of eleven children. My parents have been gone for about a decade. Last year, I lost another one of my siblings and it was hard. Very hard. 

I read a silly book about a door, and it made me laugh when I was finding it difficult to. I told my youngest daughter about the book (not the details, just the premise). She joked that I should write about something as ridiculous. Since we were out to eat, she suggested a fork romance. We laughed until we were holding our sides as we came up with the perfect backstory of how a man might become a fork.

And, of course, he had to be someone spectacular when he reverted back to being a man. 

I have laughed every single time I’ve sat down to write this book and the process has been good for my soul. It’s not a story that’s meant to be taken seriously. I wrote it to help me find my smile again and I hope it lifts the mood of those who read it.
